See the Beautiful Sights of London

Spending time in London can seem like a dream come true to many people, especially those who are wanting to spot at least one member of the royal family. A trip to London begins with a flight into London International Airport, and while everyone can rent a car to get to their hotel, an airport transfer is much easier. Instead of waiting in line for their car, travelers can simply meet their driver at the baggage claim area and be on their way to their hotel. It is such a time saving method that more people are beginning to utilize more often.

London Eye

One of the first things that everyone will want to do when they arrive in the city is take a ride on the London Eye. This massive Ferris wheel takes people high into the air to see breathtaking sights of the city and surrounding area. While this attraction is wonderful during the day, it is even better at night when it is lit up beautifully against the nighttime sky.

Buckingham Palace

No one can visit the city of London and not make a stop at Buckingham Palace. The Changing of the Guard takes place outside the front gates, and if the royal family is not in residence, guests are allowed to enter to see a few of the royal rooms. It is easy to tell if the royal family is in residence, as the flag is flying high above the palace when they are there.

Shopping is also a must while in London and the best place to do it is over on Oxford Street. There are at least three hundred stores that feature top designers in the area. Those who cannot afford some of the prices will still be able to do some window shopping, as the fascinating and interactive window displays are regularly changed with the seasons. Oxford Street is quite the sight to see during the holidays too, because all the stores put up lights and other décor to change the atmosphere into one of holiday cheer.

Princess Diana

Many people want to honor Princess Diana when they are visiting this city, as she was the world’s favorite princess. The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Walk is a great place to start, as this seven-mile-long walk takes everyone through four different parks as well as past two mansions and three palaces that were part of the princess’s life. The Princess Diana Memorial Fountain at Hyde Park is a beautiful place for people to stop and pay their respects to the princess too. Those who want a more personal experience will want to walk over to Kensington Palace where the exhibit, Diana: Her Fashion Story, is on display.

Everyone can spend days in the city of London, as they wander from one fabulous attraction to another. Of course, when it is time for them to reluctantly return home, they can count on their airport transfer service to take them back to the airport in plenty of time to catch their flight.
